The cards have spoken…
A famous Croatian psychic has been enlisted to forsee the fortune of our National Team at the WC2006. Andelka Subasic, who studied at the renowned Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, England, has ’seen’ that we are a team that is able surprise even the most stedfast oponent.
This is the same woman that predicted our early demise from EC2004, so she must be right when saying that this time around, we will be more successful. Our Ace, she states, is our ‘ever enegetic chief that lends an air of dignity and profesionalism to a united team of individual players’…what??
She tells us that this team is capable, even during bouts of poor play, to achieve a desired result on the pitch. Our bout against Brazil will be decided in the final minutes of the game with the referees calls falling on the side of the Canarinha. Japan will surprise us with their sytle, but in the end we will be victorious, if we remain focused and responsible. Australia, on the other hand she says, is just happy to be there and we should not have any trouble securing that win.
She also forees that the favourites of the games (read: Brazil, England, Argentina), will through the help of experience (and the referees) be able to move on through the competition….no s**t.
So there you go..Croatia is guaranteed to move into the second round. After that, she says, there are too many variables to reliably forsee our outcomes, and that of our possible opponents.

Hah, that’s an extremely accurate prediction considering that Croatia could only manage a draw to give Australia a historic entry into the second round.
