Musically Declined…..

A new ‘playah’ (sing it like you just don’t cayah) has emerged with his contribution in the cut throat business of supplying our NT with an official song. ‘Nered’, which means Chaos in Croatian, is a rapper from Zagreb and has put forth his little ditty for us to adopt as ‘the one’. As an added ‘bonus’, the official hooligans of Dinamo Zagreb had imput to the songs lyrics which is entitled ‘Srce Varteno’ (Fiery Heart).

At first I thought this was a joke, but after speaking to a friend in Zagreb I was assured this was for real. I have included some pictures of the possy for your viewing pleasure.

You can hear a clip of the song here. I know you’re gonna recognize the melody, but lets see if you can name it.

Za sve one kojih nema…. in context the line is about honoring those who gave Croatia their lives in her defense. So it should be more like…

Soze, I disagree, it is long but im sure everyone in croatia does no the lyrics and personally I believe it would sound AWESOME!!!

Ok guys I’m from Croatia and I’d really like to write few things .
First Lijepa li si is patriotic song and fans really sing it on matches and second if Thompson is fascist why Serbs listen to his songs?
I’m from eastern Croatia and I know a lot of Serbs that like.
And since when is a crime to write a song about how beautiful your country is?

In my opinion, the refrain from ‘Srce Varteno’ is perfect for a crowd of 50,000 because u can feel the pride and honor of thousands singing in the refrain. But, i’m not sure 50,000 would go over well with rapping the verses. Anyway, can anybody translate lyrics for ‘Srce Varteno’? i just wanna see the lyrics to compare to ‘lijepa li si. Thanks a lot.
