Life, fit for a King….
During the WC2006, the Croatian national team will be holed up in a castle that was once the summer home to the German King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Not bad…
A little spa town of Bad Brückenau is about 40 kilometres from Frankfurt and the delegation could not be happier with the accommodation.
FIFA had reserved a training ground and accommodations in Velen, an hour’s drive outside of Dusseldorf, but this was deemed inappropriate by the Croatian location scouts.
Upon finding this little gem, Zlatko Kranjcar said it was above expectation. I wonder which part of the new accommodations he approves of…the training and living grounds or the fact that the on-site staff is proficient in the über relaxing art of Shiatsu, Stone, Lomi-Lomi, Classic Massages as well as full body pampering.
I’m guessing the new ‘Asian luxury cabin’ will be well used.
