There was twelve thousand votes, and 88% of them were for Croatia. Faboo. The next round will see us up against either the world champions:Germany 1990 or runners up:Hungary 1954.

Although I do not know much about Hungary of 1954 (I was born in 1971) I do remember Germany of 1990. Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Rudi Völler..a great squad. Voting starts May 7. I will post a link then.

The Hungarians were before my time also. They were quite a team in that they were undefeated in 31 games over a four year period. The 1954 WC saw the debut of Scotland, South Korea and the Federal Reuplic of Germany. Interestingly the Hungarians lost to Germany in the final that year.
