A New Spin on Things….

May 2nd, 2006 | By: Soze | 4 Comments »

Usually we see alot of newspapers and media outlets speculating and drawing lists of which players are going to be on a world cup squad. Here is a new take on that. A Croatian daily, Večernji List, decided to put together a graphic of players that will NOT be travelling to Germany this summer.

The one player I think would be a good addition the roster for Germany is Milan Rapaic. He is a good left midfielder and currently plays in Belgium with a depth of experience. This position is currently occupied on the NT by Niko Kranjcar, a young player with little international experience…but one helluva feel for the game.

As far as I know, Niko Kovac will act as our captain in Germany. His brother Robert has had a so-so season this year. He is not a starter at Juventus but is still a standard player for Cico to take to Germany.

Hopefully Mornar is not in the team hehehhehee.

Im expecting a breakthrough tournament for Ivan Klasnic. Hes sort of quieted down since that awesome season he had with Bremen in 2003/04 (When they won the Bundesliga) so im expecting him to come back with a bang.

The Kovac borthers are as big a lock to not only make the team but to start as much as any other player on our roster. Robert is our best defender and has been for years even though he;s having a so so season coming off a major injury.
