Bilic Rocks My World

bilic_rockOk, that probably didn’t come out right. But I ask you honestly, who in the world wouldn’t want to have a coach that’s, well obviously superb at what he does football-wise, has a law degree (!), and on top of that plays in a rock band. Yes, A Rock Band. No, not that plastic thing you plug into your console and start abusing those green and red buttons, but THE real thing. Bilic plays guitar in a rock band called “Rawbau” (I’ve no idea what it translates into, if anything), and he wrote a song that’s predestined to be the soundtrack to Croatia’s upcoming EURO campaign.

That’s right, the man whose been pulling the strings of Croatia’s resurrection for these few past years has also had both time and inspiration to go and make a name for himself in the music world as well. It’s no Pink Floyd mind you, but hell, if he played a Beethoven piece with bagpipes I’d still be holding my thumbs up for the guy. Apparently they are filming the video for this track later today in Split (his hometown), so let’s wait and see how that turns out. In the meantime, you can satisfy your curiosity with a Rawbau video below (Bilic is on your right, look for his trademark cap wearing). Oh and one more thing, I can’t help asking myself how a band consisting of some Croatian players would look like. Somehow i picture them all as drummers. Maybe Kranjcar on vocals? Nah, he’s a drummer born.
