Bilic Gets Some Competition

Rather than his footballing, this time our coach gets a rival in his guitar playing skills. With Bilic flying high with his “Fiery Madness”, a hip-hop group based in Zapresic also decided to give a shot in recording a song that our supporters might embrace as an official anthem of Croatia’s EURO conquest. Let’s hear it for Connect & Zapresic Boys and their track “Samo Je Jedno” (a.k.a. “There’s Only One”):

It’s of different flavor definitely, but I’m sure it’ll get it’s own share of spoils. If nothing, it resembles and follows up on the style of our previous (WC 2006) unofficial anthem, “Srce Vatreno” by Nered & Zapresic Boys (translated “Fiery Heart”). Note that Zapresic Boys are common to both tracks.

Now no one would be happier than me if I was to translate all these lyrics to you. But I’m sure if you watch both videos you’ll forgive me for leaving you empty handed this time. A lot of text in there. You know, hip hop, full stop, blip blop. But before I get carried away with my notorious rapping skillz, I’d like to hear your opinion. Can these guys dethrone “Fiery Madness”?
